Happy Halloween

This year were had the Fairy Tale theme going on. Kaeden was a prince, unless you asked his Dad then he was a knight. Wyatt was a Dragon and Emerson was a Fairy. The kids had such a great time! Kaeden really GOT it this year.. He figured out quickly that the houses with the lights on were the ones the he got to go trick or treating at.. He would be running up the houses while Jason and I were trying to get Wyatt to speed it up a little.. LOL. He was the slowest Dragon I have ever seen. Emerson on the other had was too busy trying to see what was in her bag, then going to the next house. It really was alot of fun!

Sara and Stephen's Wedding..

We went to the Twin Cities for my Cousin Stephen's Wedding. Stephen and his wife live in Alaska, so when I found out that they would be getting married in the cities I was super excited because I would be able to make it since it's only 4 hrs from us. I have not been able to see Stephen very often in the last 15 or so years because of him living in Alaska. The last 2 times we have seen each other it has unfourtunately been for sad occations. We were very happy to finally see each other for a happy occations! I didn't take many pictures but here's what I did take!

The weekend of October 24th we all went up to the Twin Cities for my Cousin Stephens wedding. While we were there we thought it would be fun to take the kids to Underwater Adventures in the Mall of America. The kids really enjoyed it.. and honestly I really enjoyed watching the kids see all of the underwater animals.

That sucks..

Yesterday.. Jason was helping Kaeden get his pj's on.... Kaeden's arm had gotten stuck in the sleeve and Kaeden said " Well that sucks"..

Okay.. so It really was a location situation.. you HAD to have been there.. but it really was too funny.. Jason and I were just laughing and shaking our heads.

I can't believe it's been almost 2 months sents I've posted a blog! I'm horrible at this.. LOL.. Since Wyatt and Emerson are now in toddler beds.. we weren't for sure how the sleeping arrangements were going to work this year.. and honestly.. I wasn't looking forward to fighting with them about naps and bed times... Thankfully I discovered Peapod Travel Beds on someone elses blog. Jason and I decided to go a head and get 2 of them. WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!

These beds are pretty much just kids size tents. and they worked prefectly! Above is how we decided to set up their beds.. side-by-side on the double bed..

Vacation

The week before the 4th of July we all went on vacation on Osakis MN. We really had a good time! It was so nice to just sit back and relax... well.. as much as a person can with a 4 year old and 2 year old twins!! LOL I've got quite a few pictures that I'm going to try to upload.. since I can only add 4 or 5 at a time this will be a work on progress so bear with me!

Saturday Jason and I made a spur of the moment decision to head to the Zoo! About 9 in the morning we thought.. we're bored.. let's go do something, so we loaded up the kids and drove 2 hrs to the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.. What a great trip it was! The Kids loved it and so did we to be honest. I've got a several more pictures to add.. but since I can only add 4 or 5 at a time this is going to be in several posts. Starting from End to Begining.

Just a quick note to say that Wyatt was discharged from the Hospital yesterday around noon. We made it back home around 3. Wyatt is doing great is was very excited to be home and play with His toys.. Thank you all for your thoughts and Prayers!

Oxygen Free!

Wyatt had a oxygen free night last night!! So there is a good chance that we might get to go home today... they are waiting on some tests to come back. Hopefully we will know sometime this morning.

Wyatt is now on the regular Peds floor. He got moved down around 3 or 4 this afternoon. YYAAYY!!! He only needs Oxygen now when he sleeps, so as soon as he no longer needs that he should be able to go home.

Wyatt is in the Hospital

Wyatt is in the PICU at Sanford Childrens Hospital in Sioux Fall, SD. Yesterday morning Wyatt was having a VERY hard time breathing, So I took him to the Dr in Emmetsburg where they decided that the best thing for him would be to ship him to a different hospital that had a pediactics unit. Because he was alittle worse then they felt comfortable with.

So Wyatt and I were flown from Emmetsburg to Sioux Falls and admitted to the PICU. He is doing SO much better then he was yesterday. He is not having as much difficulty breathing but is still having trouble keeping his O2 stats up when he sleeps so they think we will probably be a here another day for sure. The Dr and Nurse here are trying to get him out of the PICU and on to the regular peds unit as he really does not need to he in the PICU any more.

This is my nephew Evan (6 months).. It's he a cutie too!! And this was taken at his FIRST taste of green beans.. as you can tell.. he was not the biggest fan of them... Evan is my sister Shalahs son. They live about 9 hours from me. So I've only gotten to see Evan once (the same with Sam and Ella).. which makes me all the more thankfull for the internet because I do get pictures every so often of them.. (Tra your off the hook cause you just sent some) HINT HINT Shalah..LOL

These are just several of the new bows that arrived today from Emerson GREAT AUNT Nancy! What a suprise! She made Emerson quite a few bows and a fabulous bow holder to go with them. I was only able to get Emerson to try 3 of them on before she was tired of that. But I'll get pictures of the rest of them. AUNT Nancy did a fantastic job! THANKS AUNT Nancy!! We love you!

Tonight was a first for us... we all sat at the same table during supper!! We always eat ours meals together, but Wyatt and Emerson are usually in their highchairs next to the table. Well yesterday evening I decided to "try" moving the booster seat from the chair that it was on.. to the table. And it worked out great! So tonight we tried it again.. only this time we removed the tray off of the highchair and pulled it up to the table too!

It was so nice to eat supper as family, all around the table!. Granted we only had grill hot dogs and potatos.. with ice cream afterwards.. but it was still super nice!

The Easter Bunny made a visit today.. but unfortunately ALL of the kids were terrifed of him, so no picks of that. BUT I was able to get some pictures of the easter egg hunt its self. They held the hunt inside due it bad weather. Wyatt was beyond excited! Make sure to view the video at then end!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that Wyatt is doing just fine!.. I woke him about every 2 hours last night with no problems.. He even got himself up this morning. He's been running around and beating up his sister..

Tonight around 8 this evening Wyatt was climbing on the kitty Condo. And he either fell or was pushed (by his sister) about 3 1/2 - 4 feet to the floor. When he landed he hit his head on the wheel to the computer chair.. I immediately picked him up and kept telling him to breathe. (he was doing that quiet screaming thing that little ones do where they dont' take a breath) Jason and I took him in to the kitchen to look him over better. He has quarter size bump on the back of his head where he it the chair. We also checked his eyes and his pupils were very reactive to light... gave him some tylenol and a cold compress to help him out.

I think he is fine, because shortly afterwards he was back to his old self, smiling, running around laughing. But because of the whole Natasha Richardson issue.. I was alittle freaked out and was able to get a whole of a good friend (Thanks JUDY!) who is a nurse and she gave me somethings to look for during the night.

SO.. I will be setting my alarm clock to go off every to 2 hour so that I can get up and check on him. If he shows ANY signs of something not being right.. we will immediately take him to the ER or call the Ambulance.

Please pray that this is just a nasty bump and nothing more.. Thank you!

This past Saturday it was so nice out. The kids played outside most of the morning.. (with Jason and I chasing the twins around trying to keep them in the yard! LOL.. It was nice that we decided to have our first Picnic of the year!
